Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)
The NHS in North West London and Public Health England (are well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to protect patients, our community and NHS staff while ensuring as many services as possible are available to the public.
If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus including a new continuous cough and a high temperature, you are advised to stay at home for 7 days.
Please do not book a GP appointment or attend your GP practice.
If you live with other people, they should stay at home for at least 14 days, to avoid spreading the infection outside the home. After 14 days, anyone you live with who does not have symptoms can return to their normal routine.
But, if anyone in your home gets symptoms, they should stay at home for 7 days from the day their symptoms start. Even if it means they're at home for longer than 14 days. The most up-to-date public guidance is always online at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus
If your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.
Only call 111 direct if you are advised to do so by the online service or you cannot go online.

NEW CLINICAL PHARMACIST
We are pleased to welcome Mr Mohamed Abdelrahman to the NKMC Team. As a clinical Pharmacist, Mo will be assisting patients with Medication Reviews, Management of long-term conditions and Minor Illnesses. Mo's clinics will be held every Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning here at the practice.
MY CARE MY WAY OPEN DAY
As some of you may already be aware, Blessing (Case Manager) and Stephen (HSCA) has now left NKMC. Mich is our new Case Manager and has previously worked with Rapid Response. Bernice is our new Health and Social Care Assitant with previous work exeperice with Age Uk.
MCMW is currently a service available to thoes aged 65 and over. Bernice and Mich are really keen to meet you all and therefore the practice will be holding a open day for introductions.
Please pop round to the surgery on Wednesday 28th November between 2pm - 3:30pm to say Hello! Tea and biscuits will be provided. Hope to see you all there!
As of Monday 2nd July, the surgery will no longer be accepting repeat prescription request from community pharmacies. North West London Clinical Commissioning Groups (NW London CCGs) believes that a lot of medicines are wasted – dispensed but not used. We believe that some of this waste can be reduced if people request their repeat prescriptions directly from their general practice, rather than allowing a community pharmacy to request prescriptions on their behalf. Nobody knows which medicines you are really running out of better than you (or your carer if you have one).
If you cannot request your own repeat prescription and do not have a family member of friend who can request them for you, then please speak to our reception team who will be able to suggest other options.
Please use the link below for further information regarding repeat prescription request.
We would like to congratulate Dr Kelso on his retirement and wish him well for his future.
Dr Kelso’s patient list has now been taken over by Dr Tatjana Djordjevic. She works in the surgery on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Dr Kelso will from time-to-time be working in the surgery, only to cover other doctors’ leave. He will not be regularly in the surgery doing sessions. Therefore, we advise patients not to wait for his appointments to become available as there may be long gaps between him being in the surgery and this will delay your care.
To Welcome Dr Djordjevic we would like to invite all our patients to a meeting at 1.30pm on Monday 16.04.18 at the practice. This will be an opportunity to meet Dr Djordjevic and to discuss plans and projects affecting the future provision of primary care services at North Kensington Medical Centre.
We are currently in the process of updating our telephone system and would ask that you bear with us whilst this work is carried out.
